The Girl Up campaign was founded by the United Nations Foundation in 2010 to help support UN agencies that give adolescent girls in developing countries an equal chance to health, education, social and economic opportunities, and a life void of violence.

We are the official Queen's Chapter of the Girl Up Campaign. Girl Up Queen's was founded in 2020 by QU students, and was the first chapter to be formed Kingston, Ontario. ​

Our objectives are:

To provide a space for individuals to discuss woman empowerment and leadership.

To provide a means for others to voice their thoughts and opinions in a safe space.

To offer educational and cultural activities.

Advocate for raising awareness and creating safe spaces.

To provide social functions with the purpose of adding to the variety of university life.
